The transition from urban warrior to kingdom warrior has stirred me to lead men toward “Acting Like Men.” I served for 31 years as a police officer in Southern California. I had little understanding that the conflicts and struggles I faced on the street were actually preparing me to share with men how to faithfully face their personal conflicts and struggles. Biblical solutions, real answers from a sovereign God is the quest I seek each day. The result is journey toward Biblical manhood.

I am smitten by Paul’s admonition in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14, “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” Would you join me in this conversation as we explore the importance of:

• God’s character and sovereign nature
• Man’s character and broken nature
• God’s plan to redeem men
• God’s empowerment for a man’s walk in strength and holiness

I have a passion to move men toward God through speaking and writing. I particularly enjoy the challenge of speaking for groups of law enforcement professionals in retreat settings or training venues. I have authored 8 books and the most recent is Men of the Bible, the Smart Guide to the Bible Series.

As a graduate from the Wilberforce Forum Centurions program (class of 2006) I have a passion for engaging this postmodern world with a Biblically grounded worldview that is reasoned, compelling, and winsome. I believe we can know the truth even when everything in our culture says it is impossible. Truth is something worth contending for and lets commit ourselves to guide others in that pursuit.
